I feel really low at the moment for some reason. I’ve had a really crappy day at work, although it’s not been great for a while now. They’ve had me software testing for a few months now and even from the start I didn’t want to do it but had no choice. That’s the joy of senior management telling you to do something when they know that your team manager is on holiday. Software testing involves doing the same task over and over again, finding a fault, reporting it, waiting for a fix and then repeat the whole process…. day in, day out! There’s just nothing to motivate me or stimulate my mind.
I’ve handed in my notice for Scouts today as well. I’ve been a leader for over a year now, but sadly I can’t keep the commitment since I’ve started doing the out of hours on call support for work. I’m going to carry on for a couple of months until they can find a replacement. Plus we are already short for a camp in April and I don’t want to let the children down.
I guess I’m just feeling tired at the moment. I’ve had no more than 4 hours sleep a night for about two weeks now and it does take me a while to recover from a heavy weekend these days. I must be getting old.
Oh well, here’s to shit and piss!
I just went out and spent a load of my hard earned cash on a nice shiny new iBook 12″ laptop.
Hopefully this will last longer my last one, but at least this wasn’t bought on eBay!
