Current mood…

Fed up and tired.

Every endless night has a dawning day (1)…

Has anyone else noticed that the introduction to “Mr Brightside” by the Killers sounds almost identical to “Private Emotion” by Ricky Martin? Strange. Anyways…

I’ve just had a very tiring but nice weekend. I went out in Weston on Friday for ‘a couple of beers’ and ended up getting home at 3am, which was a tad silly as I had to go to my friend Lucys wedding on Saturday night in Bristol. Congratulations again Lucy, I hope you have a wonderful marriage :) It was a great night, involving lots of alcohol and ‘drunken dad dancing’, which is a must at any family event! Then off to a club at about 1am with Rachel and James from work but it kinda got a bit blurry then…

Now I know it’s only Tuesday, but it does feel like Friday already. ( Sorry Mr Lee Evans if you’re reading this! :) )

Has anyone checked the weather forecast out for this weekend? It’s a bank holiday and instead of spending it with my friends, in and out of various pubs and clubs in Weston in the sunshine, I’ll be looking after about 20 Scouts, in a field, in the bloody pouring rain! for AxeJam 2006.

Still, if I survive the weekend, I do fancy popping up to see the annual Cheese Rolling even at Cooper’s Hill in Gloucestershire. I know it’s very sad, but I can’t think of a better way to cheer myself up than to watch a bunch of normally perfectly sane human beings, throw themselves down a very steep hill, just to catch a lump of cheese! So if anyone fancies joining me, just let me know and I may be able to sort out some transport. :)

Well I’m off to sleep now so I’ll leave you with something inspiring that I read the other day…

“Dwell not on the past. Use it to illustrate a point, then leave it behind. Nothing really matters except what you do now, in this instant of time. From this moment onward you can be an entirely different person, filled with love and understanding, ready with an outstretched hand, uplifted and positive in every thought and deed.”

It was supposed to be so easy…

Well it’s been a while since I last updated and it’s not because I’ve had nothing to say, but so much has been happening that I just haven’t had the time.

I finally got a position in the Development team at work a few weeks back. This means no more talking to customers, getting to drink lots of tea and listening to music all day long. Oh yeah, it does involve a little bit of programming too :)

I went to see The Streets again the other week. They are so much better live and standing at the front of the stage made it even better. It’s the second time I’ve seen them now and having three albums meant they played a better variety of songs including my all time favorite Blinded By The Lights. Sadly, they also performed their cheesy pop hit When You Wasn’t Famous but I’ll forgive them :)

My car is having a few problems ( again ) and this time both the rear breaks have seized. I’m not willing to spend £300 to get them fixed when I’m hoping to get a new car soon. I’ve saved up enough now, and just need to find my Peugeot 106 Gti in black or white, with low mileage and leather interior. Hopefully it won’t be too long as I don’t think mines going to hold out much longer!

Anyway, that’s it for now, just a quick update :) I’m off to watch an American, playing a Scotsman with a really dodgy accent, get hung, drawn and quartered . What a great way to spend a Sunday evening. :)
