Sun Run 2006…

Well I managed to survive yet another year at Sun Run! I was even brave enough to wear shorts this year! Sorry to all of you who suffered and saw my skinny legs. lol.

Sadly no fancy dress this year, but seeing as I’m still getting stick about that one ‘fairy’ incident about four years ago on a camp, I’m kinda relieved. Although those giant sombreros last year were cool :)

The whole point of the Sun Run weekend, for those of you who don’t know, is to do a 26.2 mile hike from sunset to sunrise. It’s attended every year by approximately 3000 scouts and guides. The official slogan being ‘The Coolest Midsummer Weekend For All Members Of The Scouting and Girl Guiding At The Hottest Event Of The Year’.

So what did we do? The same thing we do every year. Get very drunk, chat to random people, dance, chat some more and watch the sunrise. I saw quite a few people I’ve met the years before as well which is always good. Suprisingly we hadn’t scared too many people away from last time. A quick hello to Sian, Jenn, Sarah and Sue. Don’t you peeps sleep either?! :)

Normally on a camp I don’t tend to eat too much, I guess it soaks up the alcohol ;) but this time I ate more than I do on a normal weekend! Chinese takeaway Friday night, a bacon roll in the morning on Saturday followed by an all day breakfast for lunch then spag bol for dinner! Luckily, well more stupidly really, I agreed to go to the gym with James in a few weeks! I’m sure I was drunk but apparently not. I did manage to finish off two crates of beer and drink 40 pounds of beer tokens though. Scary!

Well fingers crossed next years will be just as good. Although in a years time anything could happen. I may have given up alcohol, matured, settled down and go to bed by 10:00pm……

Haha….. see you all next year!

:)

Stop thinking, start drinking…

When the pubs are shut and the taxi queue is long,
When your brain is mashed and your legs are working wrong,
When you haven’t pulled
Or even if you have
When you’ve been to Abdul’s and he’s spat on your kebab

Stop thinking start drinking,
Don’t worry what your parents said,
Fill your mind with beer instead,
Stop thinking start drinking,
Don’t worry what your doctor said,
Your liver is ruined anyway,

When you’ve all been out and you’ve me the one you love
But your bottles gone that you might not get it up,
If you’re insecure that you might not be enough,
Get some alcopops and show the world your muff.

Stop thinking start drinking,
Don’t worry about the health warnings,
Think about it in the morning.
Stop thinking, Start drinking
If you think your heads in trouble,
Have some more,
You’ll see it double,
Stop thinking and start drinking

Stop thinking, Start drinking
Stop your thinking, please stop thinking
Stop your thinking and start drinking
Stop thinking, Start drinking

If you’re scared you’ve had to much,
You need some courage from the dutch.

Stop thinking, Start drinking
Yeah Yeah Yeah
