Losing Yet Again…
Love in my life is like sand,
I give it care and attention,
Then a strong gust of wind sifts it through my hand,
I lose yet again.

Well here I am, two days have passed since returning from Download Festival and I already want to go back!
I was rather worried before going due to being ill but I managed just fine and got through the weekend. Not much drinking was done but that was a good thing as it meant no hangovers! So I felt well enough to enjoy the next day. Thankfully I camped with some good friends so I felt very comfortable.
I saw a number of bands I’ve not heard of before and a few of those I’ve noted down so I can listen to more of their music. The main bands I saw were Dragonforce, My Chemical Romance, Paradise Lost, Marilyn Manson, Linkin Park, Iron Maiden and of course Evansesence.
Sadly the main attraction for me was a bit of a disappointment. Evanesence just didn’t seem to pull the whole thing off. I enjoyed listening to their songs but the crowd didn’t seem that interested. Probably due to most of them being Iron Maiden fans sitting it out for a good position when Maiden played next. Iron Maiden were on the other hand amazing. Even though I did not know all of the songs they played the atmosphere did it for me…… *sings* Fear of the dark…….
I managed to get my tired, dirty and sun burnt body back home at about 4:30 Monday morning, after a two hour wait to get out of the car park and a two and a half hour journey home!
But it was worth it. Thanks to everyone I camped with and I’ll see you there again next year
Well only 18 hours left and I’ll be on my way to Donnington Park to spend three days listening to the likes of Evanescence, DragonForce, Within Temptation, Killswitch Engage. Oh and Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance and Iron Maiden. Woop!
Now all I need to do is find the place, finish the 30 minute hike from the car park to the camp site with all my stuff and finally find my tent, thats already been put up, amongst another hundred thousand or so tents…
Rock on!
:)
